How Is No One Talking About This Ktown Gem?
This hidden treasure is truly under the radar! Come before it blows up π₯ β still not many Chinese diners yet. The atmosphere is super cozy and forest-like, with creative Korean dishes and a wide menu selection. The lighting makes everything look extra delicious π·β¨ β The Barn Baby Back Ribs π₯© A surprise hit! Marinated perfectly β Korean BBQ + sweet-spicy sauce with a caramelized crust. Tender meat falls off the bone, well-balanced flavor, not too fatty. One of the few ribs I can eat multiple pieces of without feeling greasy π β Spicy Ddukboki πΆοΈ Really tasty, not overly spicy. Includes a boiled egg π₯, two dumplings with glass noodles, fish cakes, and lots of cabbage. Generous portion β the rice cakes are on the larger side (would be even better if smaller for more sauce absorption). β Spicy Sea Snail & Noodles π Just okay β served cold, noodles resemble Korean cold noodles π. Snail meat is chewier than French escargot, fairly large pieces. Comes with onion, carrot, cucumber β the veggies work well as a refreshing side. β Fried Chicken Wings π Solid β good portion, juicy wings with light batter. Served with ketchup and seasoned salt. β Fried Potato Shrimp π€ Ordered for looks but tasted great! The shredded potato coating isnβt super crispy β itβs soft and peelable but with a slight crisp outside. The shrimp is wrapped around a buttery potato mash β very fragrant. β Fried Scallop Tastes good though itβs more like scallop-shaped fritters. Would be better with less batter. The tangy salad sauce underneath helps cut the richness. π ΏοΈ Limited street parking β valet available: $3 lunch / $5 dinner π The Barn Cafe & Restaurant 228 S Oxford Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90004 #Foodie #LosAngeles #StudyAbroad #LAEats #KoreanFood #RestaurantRecs #VibeDining
