Huge Portions, Pineapple Rice & Purple Sticky Rice Ice Cream! 🍍🍚🍨

🍨 Rarely mentioned, but such a delightful find! The restaurant is Chao Phra YA Thai, located at 📍 2445 Centreville Rd Unit 27, Herndon, VA 20171—near Dulles Airport! ✈️ 🥣 We originally went for the whole grilled squid—highly recommended on Google Maps and by foodie friends—but maybe the kitchen was extra busy today, because ours came out a bit burnt and bitter 😅 BUT! Everything else was as amazing as people say! The Drunken Noodles with duck were fantastic—generous, crispy duck (so different from the usual saucy version!), and the Pineapple Fried Rice was loaded with fresh pineapple—light and not greasy at all. For dessert, we got the Tim Pung: purple sticky rice ice cream with fruits. Beautiful and delicious! The sweetened condensed milk over the rice was a tad sweet, but balanced perfectly with tart berries and kiwi. A sweetness level that’s totally Asian-friendly 👏 And every dish was MASSIVE—so worth it! 🦄 The decor is incredibly cute! The menu is adorable, and the place is filled with dolls, plush toys, and knick-knacks everywhere—even the restroom has little bunnies! 🐇 The owner clearly has a big heart full of childlike wonder—kids dining here would be totally mesmerized!
