I’d Come Back to Toulouse Just for This Duck Leg
While exploring Legacy West, I stumbled upon Toulouse Cafe and Bar, and their duck leg completely blew me away! I’m definitely adding this to my must-return-for menu. 🍗 Pan-Seared Duck Leg This dish is worth coming back for over and over again! The skin is perfectly crispy, giving you that satisfying “crunch” with every bite, while the meat inside is tender and full of flavor. Fun Fact: Duck Confit is a traditional French cooking method where the duck leg is slowly cooked in oil at a low temperature for several hours before being pan-seared until the skin is crispy. It’s a classic in French home cooking. 🐌 Baked Snails I order this every time I visit. It’s a familiar and comforting flavor—rich with garlic and herb butter. It’s quite addictive! Background: French baked snails are typically prepared with garlic, herbs, and butter, making it a beloved appetizer in French cuisine. 🦪 Mussels These are also great. I often use the shells to scoop up the broth after finishing the mussels. Fun Fact: In French cuisine, mussels are often cooked with white wine, garlic, onions, and cream, known as Moules Marinières. It’s a popular seafood dish in Belgium and France. 📍 Toulouse Cafe and Bar 📍 7301 Windrose Ave. Suite C150, Plano, TX 75024 #FrenchCuisine #DallasFood #LegacyWest
