I’d Drive 50 Minutes for Detroit’s Sushi Hana — And I Do 😋

This spot is about a 50-minute drive from Ann Arbor, not far from Somerset Collection 🛍️ (perfect for shopping, then eating!). It’s the kind of place you just feel like driving to on a whim, because everything is so fresh and delicious. The restaurant has a cozy izakaya vibe 🏮! We usually order their sushi platter and sashimi platter — the fish quality is top-notch, each slice thick, clean, and sweet, not fishy at all 🍣✨. The flavors are pure and vibrant — definitely their strongest offering. Their unagi rice bowl, tonkatsu, and cold noodles are also really good 🍱🍜. This time we arrived at 5:30 p.m. and still waited about 30 minutes — the place is always packed, but tables turn over quickly. Service is friendly and efficient.
