Okay, maybe I’m being a little dramatic lol But I’ve been wanting to try this Ukrainian spot—Mom Please—for so long, and it totally lived up to the hype! Just writing this makes me crave their Ukrainian dumplings again 🤤 💙 Service was okay 💙 The food was light, fresh, and delicious 💙 Located on the ground floor of a quiet neighborhood building—very cozy, with a giant bear statue at the entrance! 🐻 . 🥬🐮 Holibsti with Beef – Beef Stuffed Cabbage Rolls Tender cabbage leaves wrapped around hearty seasoned beef, served with a tomato, bell pepper, and basil sauce. So flavorful yet light— almost like eating a Margherita pizza in roll form! I recommend trying it first without sauce, then dipping it in sour cream for a different taste experience. . 🍗🥟 Pelmini with Chicken – Chicken Dumplings These are more like wontons in size. Ukrainian dumplings have a thicker, chewier skin—if you prefer thin wrappers, this might not be your thing. The texture is kinda similar to gnocchi! The seasoning is well-balanced, and the caramelized onions on top 🧅 are a delicious touch. Perfect with sour cream—I could pop them one by one! . 🧀🍓 Mlynsti with Sweet Cottage Cheese I highly recommend this! Not too sweet, not too heavy—just how I like my desserts. Thin pastry wrapped around creamy cottage cheese, served with custard sauce and mixed berries. A light, refreshing way to end the meal. . 🍞 Pyrizhok Apple-Cherry This one’s pretty to look at but just okay to eat— it reminded me of the piroshky from Pike Place Market. They have both sweet (apple-cherry) and savory (cabbage) options. I bought it because it looked cute in the display case lol… but I wouldn’t order it again. . ☕️ Their coffee isn’t the best… drink it if you must 🙃 #LAFoodFinds #100RestaurantsChallenge #HiddenGemsLA #UkrainianCuisine #GlobalFoodReview #FoodieAdventures #TrySomethingNew #DumplingLover #CozyEatery #LosAngelesEats
