I Absolutely Adore Rome’s Lemon Shops

There are quite a few of them—you can basically spot one just by wandering around casually. They’re called Limone 🍋, and the entire shop is filled with lemon-themed elements. On a hot day, just looking at all the lemon decor feels refreshingly tangy—it’s so satisfying! At first, I just wanted to try their lemon gelato 🍦. It looks amazing—it’s served in a real lemon shell! Plus, I’d had delicious lemon gelato at another shop before, so I was curious if this one would be even better 😋. I sampled three flavors: - Lemon Cheesecake 🧀: It was just so-so, nothing special—sweet and tangy, but lacked a "wow" factor. - Lemon Chocolate 🍫: Chocolate with a hint of lemon fragrance, but it was on the sweeter side. I didn’t feel like eating something heavy since it was so hot at the time. - Lemon Sorbet Flavor 🍋: This was my favorite of the three! It had a bright, tangy lemon taste, though it wasn’t real sorbet—just gelato with a sorbet-like flavor. You can choose two flavors for one lemon gelato, but I only wanted the sorbet flavor, so I stuck with that. The best part? After finishing the gelato, you can eat the lemon shell too—it’s such a nice touch ❤️! They also had flavors like lemon custard 🧈, lemon wine 🍹, lemon ginger 🫚, and lemon basil 🌿, but I had no interest in those, so I skipped them. A heads-up: The gelato melts quickly and might drip, which could stain your clothes or hands. Make sure to grab extra napkins beforehand ‼️ What I loved even more were their lemon juice and lemon sorbet 🍹. Maybe it was just the hot weather, but sipping a cold, tangy lemon drink felt incredibly refreshing! The sorbet was a bit tangier than the lemon juice and kept me cool for longer. I even ate the lemon pulp on top—it was delicious, though I probably would’ve found it too sour to finish on a colder day 🍋. This is by far my favorite drink in Rome ❤️. I’d think about it every time I went out, and I could easily have 2-3 cups a day. Whenever I passed a Limone shop, I’d want to pop in for a drink. They also give out free lemon candies—like the ones in Photo 7, usually 2 pieces per visit. I went there so many times for lemon juice that I ended up collecting quite a few, haha! The lemon candies are great too—sweet lemon flavor on the outside with a tangy lemon filling in the middle~ I tried a lemon-shaped candy too. It looked cute, but it didn’t taste good—it was way too sweet. The shop also sells lots of lemon liqueur and other lemon-themed products 🍋. #Lemon #Rome #Italy #ItalianLemon #Gelato #YummyFind #LemonWater #SummerDrinks
