How is it possible that Japanese cuisine of this caliber exists in LA’s Monterey Park — and right near my home?! Finally, something truly special close by. Here’s what we enjoyed: 1. Appetizer 2. Sashimi - Tuna (Otoro, Chutoro), Yellowtail, Salmon, Geoduck with house-made soy sauce and freshly grated wasabi — incredibly fresh! 🐟🌱 3. Soup - Shredded crab and snapper broth 🥣 4. Charcoal-smoked Golden Eye Snapper Sushi 5. Yellowtail and Miso with Black Cod 6. Aburi Toro Sushi (seared fatty tuna) 🔥 7. Tempura (eggplant, shiitake, shrimp wrapped in shiso leaf, served with homemade red wine salt) — absolutely the best! 🍤💫 8. Hokkaido Uni Hand Roll 🍙 9. Star Eel Sushi 10. Yellowtail, daikon radish paste, soba noodles — mix and enjoy! 🍜 11. Gold Leaf Japanese Wagyu — the chef performs a gold-leafing ritual right at your table! 💛✨ 12. Tuna Belly Hand Roll 13. Miso Soup with Pickled Vegetables The service was impeccable — every staff member was attentive and thoughtful, truly embodying the Japanese spirit of hospitality.
