I went to spot wild koalas in Canberra today

They’re absolutely adorable! I finally saw "wild" koalas in Canberra 🐨!!!! They’re incredibly cute, really charming! They even struck poses to act cute for me. Well, they’re not exactly wild because they’re in a National Park. // 🤎 Tidbinbilla Sanctuary (🔍 You can drive in here, and there are parking spots available) 🎫 Tickets are required (charged per car; currently, the visitor centre is under maintenance so tickets aren’t needed temporarily) ⌚️ 7:30am-6pm (closes at 8pm during daylight saving time) ✅ You can see kangaroos (there are many along the way), platypuses (it depends a lot on the season and time—I’ve never seen one 😂), bandicoots (animals that look like mice/hedgehogs), and various birds. ✅ Koalas 🐨: In another area, also within Tidbinbilla. Walk all the way into the Eucalyptus Forest. You can see them up close; there’s just a fence. We saw 5 koalas, each enjoying their own space without disturbing each other. ✅ It’s very cool to take a walk here in the evening in summer—an ideal place to escape the heat in midsummer. #koala #AustralianKoala #CanberraSurroundings #SydneySurroundings #SydneyLife #SydneyKoala #CanberraZoo
