Iceland isn't expensive and has great food
Kjarr Restaurant & Bar 📍Klausturvegur 2, 880 Kirkjubæjarklaustur Located between the glacier and Vik, this restaurant was a chance discovery while navigating to Systrafoss. It sits right across from the waterfall, and the window seats offer a view of it. 💰ISK 9,860 Pakkhús Restaurant 📍Krosseyjarvegur 3, 780 Höfn í Hornafirði A long-time hotspot in Höfn. According to their website, they don’t take reservations—just walk in. They close at 9:30 PM, but even arriving at 9:20 PM, they still served us. Their craft beer 🍺 was excellent, and the lobster 🦞 was fresh with simple seasoning, highlighting its tender texture. 💰ISK 16,940 Centrum Kitchen & Bar 📍Hafnarstræti 102, 600 Akureyri We had lunch here in Akureyri (though it was almost 3 PM). It’s the ground-floor restaurant of Centrum Hotel. Their Langoustine pasta (squid ink lobster pasta?) is a must-try for cream lovers—rich but not overly heavy, in my opinion. 💰ISK 9,940 #Akureyri#Kjarr Restaurant & Bar#Pakkhús Restaurant#Centrum Kitchen & Bar#Iceland#travel guiide#food
