Nestled in the heart of Iceland, Braud & Co is a hidden gem that promises a culinary journey like no other. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted by the irresistible aroma of freshly baked goods and the warm smiles of the friendly staff.

My recent visit was nothing short of magical. As I perused the tempting display of pastries and treats, my senses were overwhelmed with anticipation. After much deliberation, I decided to start with the flaky croissant, delicately glazed with a sugary coating and filled with a hint of chocolate. With each bite, I was transported to pastry paradise, savoring the perfect balance of buttery richness and sweet indulgence.

To accompany my decadent pastry, I indulged in a cup of hot chocolate that was nothing short of divine. Served piping hot and topped with a generous dollop of whipped cream, it enveloped me in a comforting warmth that chased away the chill of the Icelandic air. It was the epitome of coziness in a cup.

But the true star of the show was undoubtedly the cinnamon bun, a masterpiece of soft, chewy dough and subtle sweetness. As I sank my teeth into its pillowy layers, I was greeted by a symphony of cinnamon and sugar that danced on my taste buds. It was, without a doubt, the best cinnamon bun I had ever tasted—a true testament to the skill and craftsmanship of the bakers at Braud & Co.

Despite its limited seating, Braud & Co exudes a cozy charm that invites you to linger and savor every moment. The staff are not only welcoming but also genuinely passionate about their craft, eager to share their love of Icelandic baking with every customer who walks through the door.

One word of caution: as enchanting as Braud & Co may be, be sure to watch your step as you enter—the threshold may be uneven, but the culinary delights that await you inside are worth every careful step.

In conclusion, Braud & Co is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a taste of Icelandic indulgence. Whether you're craving a flaky croissant, a comforting cup of hot chocolate, or the perfect cinnamon bun, it delivers an unforgettable experience that will leave you craving...

With several locations around the city, Braud & Co is known for their cinnamon rolls. When we came here for breakfast one morning at 9:00A, a line had already formed and customers were consistently in and out. They offer a variety of rolls, but be aware they are not all cinnamon rolls. For example, they have a vanilla roll and caramel pecan roll, both of which don’t contain any cinnamon at all. They also offer a few different types of breads and other other pastries.

I got their CINNAMON ROLL (820 ISK) which was large, bready and contained a fair amount of cinnamon sugar mixture. It was served at room temperature and to my disappointment, was not the ooey-gooey type. The roll was a little sweeter than expected as I personally would have liked a stronger cinnamon flavor. The outer portion of the roll was a little on the dry side, but the center was soft and pillowy. Overall, I thought it was okay, but seemed a little overhyped.

My sister got the VANILLA ROLL (820 ISK) which had a noticeable vanilla flavor. You could even see the little flecks of vanilla bean inside.

I also tried their RASPBERRY CROISSANT (820 ISK) which was pretty good! Instead of being the traditional crescent shape, it was a square pastry with fresh raspberries and some streusel in the center. The raspberries had a natural balance of sweet and tart, pairing nicely with the flaky pastry. I recommend it!

I’d say it’s worth a visit to Braud & Co, but unlike some other reviewers stated, I wouldn’t necessarily consider their cinnamon roll to be the best...

Nestled in the heart of Iceland, Braud & Co is a gem that any bread enthusiast must visit. This artisan bakery, with its unassuming exterior, is a burst of warmth and aroma that beckons you from the street. Once inside, you're greeted by an array of freshly baked goods that are as delightful to the eyes as they are to the palate.

Their sourdough bread is the star of the show – crusty on the outside, soft and airy on the inside, with just the right tang. Each loaf is a testament to the skill and care put into its creation. The cinnamon buns, another crowd favorite, strike a perfect balance of sweetness and spice, making them irresistible.

Braud & Co's commitment to quality is evident in every bite. They use the finest ingredients and traditional methods, ensuring that each product is not just delicious but also wholesome. The bakery’s ambiance adds to the experience. The rustic décor, with its cozy feel, makes you want to linger a little longer, savoring your treat alongside a cup of excellent coffee.

The staff at Braud & Co are as warm as the bread they bake. They are friendly, passionate about their craft, and always willing to share recommendations.

Visiting Braud & Co is more than just a culinary delight; it’s an immersion into the heart of Icelandic baking tradition. Whether you're a local or a tourist, make sure to stop by this bakery for an unforgettable experience that you'll want to revisit every time...
