If you also don’t want to get stuck in traffic on the way
🌟Check out Gunstock Mountain Resort. I didn’t make it last year and went too late to see much, so I thought I’d go see the fall foliage this year. It seems like half of Boston is in the White Mountains and the other half is stuck in traffic on the way there! So I chose this less popular spot. 🌟This resort is a ski area, about a 2-hour drive from Boston downtown. There’s a good variety of activities, and one of the more famous ones is the mini roller coaster in the first photo. You can buy tickets on the spot, and if you buy an unlimited ticket, you can ride as much as you want, but it gets busy, so it’s best to go early if you don’t want to wait. (This attraction is only available on Saturdays and Sundays and ends at 4 pm) 🌟For fall foliage, I personally recommend hiking up the mountain and then taking the gondola down. You can ask for a map at the place where you buy tickets for the mini roller coaster. Some viewpoints on the hike up offer better scenery than the view from the summit, and it’s not too difficult, making it perfect for taking your dog along. However, if you take your dog, you won’t be able to take the gondola, so you’ll need to decide for yourself. 🌟Another perk is that the drive to the resort takes you through a lakeside town, and the lake is called Lake Winnipesaukee, which is great for strolling and taking photos! Tip: This place hasn’t been discovered and taken over by Indians yet, so go sooner rather than later. #BostonLife #USA #BostonSurroundings #OffTheBeatenPath #FallFoliage #Autumn #Daily #WeekendGetaways
