If I were to recommend just one Southeast Asian cuisine restaurant, It would definitely be Southeast Impression. Their specialty is the cuisine of Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand🫕 The Hainan chicken comes with chicken oil rice and a trio of soulful sauces. The menu is super extensive with curry crab, Thai-style cured salmon, meat bone soup Tom Yum, Laksa, fried kueh, curry, satay, pineapple fried rice All in one place to satisfy multiple cravings!! 🌟 Hainan Chicken Rice 💰25 This place has the best sauce and chicken quality that’s most authentic compared to others I’ve tried! About 3-4 out of 5 times, the chicken is thin-skinned and tender, though occasionally it can be a bit tough. I’ve seen many people recommend Wei Ji’s Hainan chicken, but I find the meat is really not as good as this place, though the price is very cheap at $13. I tend to go for other dishes at Wei Ji. 🌟 Thai-style Cured Salmon 💰13 I’m all about this! The tangy and spicy Thai-style cured green sauce is so authentic. The thickness of the salmon depends on the chef’s mood, haha. Thick cuts are really satisfying when you get them. 🌟 Tom Yum Jumbo Prawn Soup 💰58 / Regular Prawns 💰11 The Jumbo Prawn version is better, but the regular prawn version is also good, though there’s a significant price difference. 🌟 Singaporean Curry Crab 💰85 I ordered this a long time ago, the portion was quite large and the sauce was very Singaporean, even comes with a serving of golden buns. 🌟 Meat Bone Tea A friend ordered it and everyone raved about it. The soup is aromatic and filled with ingredients. It’s a warm belly filler for autumn and winter. The taste and value for money can compete with those popular internet-famous places in DC. 🅿️ There are plenty of parking spaces next door at Giant. Avoid parking at Dunkin as there’s a risk of getting towed. #SavorTheFlavorOfLife #MakeTheMostOfEveryWeekend #IAmAHighDemandAutumnWinterFoodie #dmvFoodExploration #WashingtonDC #WashingtonDCFood #dmvFood
