Innovative Pasta That Earned a Michelin Star π Right After Opening
A hidden dining experience in an Encino plaza (north of Beverly Hills in Los Angeles). This place has been a Michelin one-star restaurant for four consecutive years after its transformation during the pandemic. The entire experience is perfect for a date, allowing you to watch the chefs prepare dishes throughout the meal. Unlike an omakase with one or two chefs, seeing a team of 6-8 chefs bustling around to create and plate pasta is a unique pleasure. π π Pasta | Bar π° $245 pre-tax + 20% service charge (excluding beverages) π©΅π©΅π©΅ Their menu focuses on innovative pasta and fresh local ingredients. Here are my top three favorite courses: 1. In the ice breaker room before entering the main dining area, there's a dish of shrimp with passion fruit-infused foamy cream. This unique combination of sweet sauce with a hint of fruit acidity perfectly complements the shrimp's texture and flavorβsomething you won't find in other restaurants. π¦ 2. In the main dining room, the vegetable (asparagus) pasta. The first bite is refreshing, and as you continue, the smoky flavor of the asparagus takes you through a journey from fresh to perfectly cooked vegetables. π₯¦ 3. For dessert, an ice cream sandwich with caviar. The combination of sweet ice cream and salty caviar is surprisingly delicious. Even though I was full, I couldn't stop myself from taking a few more bites! π¦ The overall flavors of the dishes were not particularly mind-blowing, but the experience was filling and satisfying. The environment, atmosphere, and creative fusion of the dishes were what truly attracted me. Here's the menu from that day. π #LosAngelesEats #LosAngelesFoodie #CreativeCuisine #WeekendDining #WhereToGo #BeautifulFood #AmbianceRestaurant #DeliciousMeals
