Irvine Eats๏ฝMoving Octopus Sashimi ๐ + Grilled Beef Intestine Hot Pot
The other day I came across a Korean restaurant called "Moobongri" in Irvine and was instantly intrigued โ they serve the same live octopus sashimi you see on Korean variety shows! ๐๐บ I was so curious about how it tasted, so I grabbed a friend and went to try it. Turns out they have a huge menu: beef intestine hot pot, pork spine stew, ox bone soup, bossam โ you name it! ๐ฒ๐ฅ ๐ Hereโs what we ordered ๐ ๐ Live Octopus Sashimi: Fresh octopus tentacles cut into pieces โ still slightly moving when served! Dip them in sweet-spicy sauce and sesame oil โ chewy, bouncy, and zero fishy taste! Super fresh and refreshing โ way better than I expected! But be careful โ donโt let the suckers stick to your tongue! ๐ ๐ฅ ๐ Beef Intestine Hot Pot: We got the small size (with beef large intestine and tripe). Pre-grilled till golden, then cooked again with fresh chives and garlic ๐ง. The intestine is crispy outside and bursts with rich beef oil when you bite in โ so flavorful! The tripe is crunchy and chewy โ best eaten with dipping sauce to cut the richness. ๐ Cheese Pork Cutlet: Crispy Korean-style fried pork cutlet stuffed with melted mozzarella cheese ๐ง. A total calorie bomb โ but oh-so-satisfying! ๐๐ฃ Restaurant: ใMoobongri Irvineใ ๐ 4250 Barranca Pkwy Ste G, Irvine, CA 92604 #LAEats #LADining #LiveOctopus #IrvineEats #IrvineFood #Irvine #IrvineKoreanFood #IrvineFoodReview #LAFoodGuide #LAFood
