Is the $2 OC Zoo Worth Visiting? šŸ¾šŸ’«

Located inside Irvine Regional Park, there’s a small zoo where admission costs just $2! Don’t let the low price fool you—it’s packed with fun and surprises! ✨ Animal Highlights • Big Cats: Mountain lions, black panthers, lynxes, bobcats, ocelots, and more—some you might not even see at the San Diego Zoo! šŸ† • Goat Interaction Area: Feed, pet, and even brush the goats! 🐐 This is my daughter’s favorite part—she never wants to leave. Hand-washing stations are nearby for convenience. • Reptile Zone: Various lizards, snakes, and spiders—perfect for reptile lovers! šŸ¦ŽšŸ • Other Unique Animals: Beavers, porcupines, black bears, eagles, owls, vultures… and peacocks often roam near the parking lot! 🦚 • Animal Encounters: Staff sometimes bring out small animals for up-close viewing, like legless lizards or baby owls! šŸ¦‰ šŸ“ Visiting Tips 1ļøāƒ£ Go Early: The big cats are most active in the morning. I’ve seen mountain lions and panthers pacing around early, but they often nap by noon. 2ļøāƒ£ Bring Quarters: Use self-service machines to buy goat feed and hand-feed the goats! šŸŖ™ 3ļøāƒ£ Parking Tip: The T Parking Lot is closest to the zoo. Irvine Regional Park parking fees: 3 on weekdays, 5 on weekends, and $7 on some holidays. Cards are accepted. 🌳 Make a Day of It! After the zoo, spread a picnic blanket under the shade and enjoy lunch 🧺. Food options inside are limited, so I usually bring my own—dumplings, sandwiches, fried rice, fruits, etc. Once you’re fueled up, there’s more to do: • šŸš‚ Ride the Mini Train ($7/person): Chugs around the park’s lake and through a tunnel—kids love it! • 🐓 Pony Rides ($8/person, cash only): For kids 1+ with a parent guiding them. • šŸ› Playground Fun: Slides, swings, and seesaws at multiple spots in the park. • 🚲 Biking & Boating: Older kids can rent multi-person bikes or paddle boats on the lake. šŸ“ Address: 1 Irvine Park Rd, Orange, CA 92869 Perfect for a low-cost, high-fun family day out! šŸ‘ØšŸ‘©šŸ‘§šŸ‘¦šŸŒž #Zoo #AnimalEncounters #IrvineLife #FamilyFriendly #WeekendIdeas #OC #AffordableFun #SoCal #NatureDay #KidsActivities #PicnicTime #ExploreOC #ParentingWin #WildlifeLovers #LocalGem
