Italy 🇮🇹 Delicious Little Surprises on the Streets of Rome
Affordable and satisfying Italian pasta 🍝 Al42 by Pasta Chef rione Monti Operating Hours: 12:30pm – 3:30pm, 7:00pm – 9:30pm (Closed on Tuesdays & Sundays) ✔️Walking near the Rome Fountain, I suddenly craved some authentic and inexpensive pasta. A friend recommended a hidden gem in an alley—Al42 by Pasta Chef rione Monti. The shop is super tiny, but despite its size, there’s always a line of people waiting outside. Everyone takes turns entering in pairs to order, creating an atmosphere like waiting for a secret recipe—it’s quite fun! 🕶️ ✔️We ordered the popular Carbonara and Tomato Basil Prawn Spaghetti. The Carbonara is savory and rich, a bit dry but very flavorful, perfect for those who love strong flavors. Personally, I prefer the smoothness of Nannarella’s version, but the shrimp pasta here is truly praiseworthy! Eight plump and fresh shrimp 🦐 are generously placed on the plate, with just the right amount of tomato and basil, making it refreshing and appetizing. ✔️Pairing our meal with a bottle of local tavern beer, we enjoyed a bite of pasta and a sip of beer. It felt like a true local’s pleasure. The best part? Two pastas and two beers came to only €35, which is a great deal in the heart of Rome. ✔️If you’re looking for a reliable, budget-friendly meal after visiting the Rome Fountain, this place is definitely worth adding to your list, especially for shrimp lovers! #HiddenGemRestaurants #FoodieAdventures #RomanCuisine #AffordableEatsInRome #Pasta #IrresistibleExoticDelights #AuthenticCuisineOnTheGo
