Its only downside: it’s only in Canberra
☕️ Mayfair Espresso Cafe 📍 No Name Lane, Shop 20/40 Marcus Clarke St, Canberra ACT 2601 💰 $20-40 per person When friends and I visited Canberra for a day trip, we definitely had to try the famous Mayfair! This isn’t a purely Western brunch spot—it blends Japanese and Thai styles, making it perfect for Asian palates 🥹. Who knows the feeling? Every time I eat brunch, I end up getting by the end, but that’s never the case here ❗️ 🥐 Chilli Prawn Croissant Scrambled eggs + shrimp roe + shrimp, with a tom yum flavor. Paired with a crispy croissant, yummy~ 🍝 Udon Alfredo Creamy udon, much lighter in texture than creamy pasta—such a great combination 😍. Served with Japanese-style fried chicken cutlet (you can also choose eel), plus fried crispy lotus root slices and bonito flakes. The bonito flakes sprinkled on top slowly flutter like they’re dancing. The chicken cutlet is amazing at first bite, but the texture suffers when it cools down, so be sure to eat it while it’s hot. 🍵 Matcha Latte A bit sweet, but still delicious. Who gets it? Just love a little sweet drink now and then. Mayfair is one of the few brunch spots that doesn’t leave my Asian stomach feeling (greasy). Can they please open a branch in Sydney 🥲 #CanberraFood #CanberraLife #CanberraFoodie #StudyInCanberra #InternationalStudentsEatingOut #LocallyRecommendedRestaurants #ShoutOutToLocalFood #MustEatInCanberra #anu #anuFood
