Jack Stack BBQ in Kansas City: A Taste of Midwestern Barbecue
đJack Stack BBQ is a famous local barbecue chain in Kansas City, located in Missouri (which is also partly in Kansas). Itâs kind of like our Hard Eight here. The one we visited was the flagship store. đMidwestern barbecue in the US is quite similar to Texas barbecue. Both have beef, chicken, turkey, and pork, but Jack Stack has an extra item that really stands out: lamb chops. Theyâre truly amazing. The beef brisket is also more moist and tender than what youâd find in Texas. If you get a chance to try it, definitely order these two items. Overall, of course, Texas barbecue still takes the crown! Everything we ordered was a specialty of the house. đ BBQ Shrimp The shrimp were really tasty with a unique sauce. đ Burnt Ends This is a must-order. Theyâre very tender because theyâre high in fat and are made from the large pieces of meat trimmed from the steak. đ Kansas City Barbecue Platter We added lamb, pork, and steak for extra cost. The steak was the least impressiveâit didnât have much meat on it. The pork was okay, and the original sauce was pretty good. But the lamb chops were the starâthey were incredibly tender and flavorful! Overall, the flavors were not very salty. #Restaurant #StudentEats #GlobalEatingDrinkingFun #Barbecue
