JALEO Spanish Restaurant in DC ๐ช๐ธ
Visited JALEO today โ it's super easy to find, just a short walk from the Chinatown Metro Station! ๐๐ฝ๏ธ We ordered the Brunch - Jaleo Classics (two portions for two people) and had quite an interesting culinary experience! ๐ฅ๐ฅ The flavors overall were pretty unique and memorable! For the starters, there was a dish with fish roe on top of what looked like raw meat โ we asked and learned it's called Liquid Olive โ and wow, it was super super bitter! ๐๐ด Another dish featured toast topped with what seemed like mild-flavored cheese and smoked salmon, while the bread in the middle came with tomato and egg. ๐ฅ๐ ๐ฅ There was also a salad with fresh greens, orange slices, goat cheese, and almond flakes โ if you can handle the goat cheese aroma, it's actually quite tasty! ๐ฅ๐๐ง One drink looked like tomato juice, topped with oil and scallions โ definitely an interesting combo! ๐ ๐ง One of the better dishes was the shrimp with fried potatoes and smoked meat โ quite delicious! ๐ค๐ฅ๐ We ended with dessert โ a vanilla flan. It was okay, not too sweet. ๐ฎโจ Overall, it was worth trying once! Maybe not for everyone, but definitely a fun experience! ๐๐ #DC #JaleoWashington #Restaurant #WashingtonDC #SpanishFood #BrunchGoals #FoodieDC #DTDining #ChinatownDC #UniqueFlavors #FoodReview #DCFoodScene #TrySomethingNew #SpanishBrunch #MetroAccessible #DCGuide #FoodAdventure
