Jasper National Park
🌟 Jasper National Park 🏞️ is simply a winter wonderland in the flesh! Starting from Banff Town, drive along Highway 93 and switch to the Icefield Parkway for 3 hours. This road is so stunning it leaves you speechless! 😭 Along the way, there are big, round, snow-white snow-capped mountains 🏔️ that look like bowls of cream, and crystal-clear glaciers sparkling in the sun. Every casual snapshot is desktop-wallpaper worthy! The first stop must be the Athabasca Glacier 🧊 in the Columbia Icefield! Standing on the massive glacier, with thousands of years of ice and snow beneath your feet, you feel both tiny and awe-struck. I originally wanted to see the icefalls at Maligne Canyon, but it was closed 😮💨—a little regret, but I’ll definitely make it up next time! Driving north toward Jasper Town, you’ll pass 大片 forested areas that were burned by wildfires 🌲. The dark brown tree trunks against the snow have a desolate beauty. It’s said this is nature’s way of renewing itself~ Not long after, you’ll reach Athabasca Falls 💦! This waterfall is absolutely amazing! The water rushes between ice and snow, and the mist condenses into ice crystals hanging on the rocks. When the sun shines, it’s like a scattering of broken diamonds on the ground—so beautiful it makes you wonder if you’ve stumbled into a fairy-tale wonderland. You have to go! You’ll regret it for life if you don’t! 🌟 Icefall canyon hiking is so healing~ ❄️ Rent crampons in Jasper Town in the morning (definitely rent them! The road is super slippery otherwise 😜), then drive to Johnston Canyon. Hike 1km to the lower falls—frozen solid, they look like a huge sapphire embedded in the canyon 💎. Push on another 3km to the upper falls for a wider view, where icicles hang down like crystal curtains—perfect for photos 📸! After hiking, head straight to Abraham Lake Ice Bubbles 🌌! Seeing this wonder in person for the first time left me speechless! The lake’s surface is filled with clusters of frozen white bubbles, like countless pearls trapped in blue ice. It’s said these are methane bubbles from decomposing organic matter at the lake bottom~ The entire lake is frozen solid, and you can even ice-skate on it ⛸️—it feels like frolicking in a fairy tale! 🌟 Marble Canyon hiking is even more surprising! ✨ It’s much less crowded than Johnston Canyon—peaceful and pleasant~ The rocks in the canyon have natural patterns, like nature’s carefully polished marble, paired with icefalls and snow, exuding an understated elegance 😌. Walking through while listening to the sound of ice cracking is so healing! In the evening, we reluctantly drove back to Calgary, ending a perfect hiking day~ 🌟 A day trip in Calgary is all about relaxation! 🚗 In the morning, wander around Studio Bell, the music museum 🎵. It has tons of interesting instruments and interactive music installations—music fans shouldn’t miss it~ For lunch, a warm Chinese meal 🍜 is a must. Tasting familiar flavors in a foreign country fills you with happiness! In the afternoon, drive 1.5 hours to Drumheller Dinosaur Valley 🦕—the birthplace of dinosaur fossils! The dinosaur museum has 超多 original dinosaur fossils and ancient creature specimens, with skeletons so huge they can surround you. It feels like stepping back into the Jurassic! Anyone interested in paleontology will absolutely love it, and even casual visitors like me found it fascinating—so much fun! #WinterSnowPhotography #ChasingSnowyJoy #BanffTravel #IcefieldParkway #JasperNationalPark #BanffNationalPark #YohoNationalPark #WinterBanff #BanffGuide #JasperNationalPark #CanadaTravel #WinterExclusiveBeauty
