Marmot Basin Ski Resort

Left Edmonton after work on Friday, drove 4.5 hours to Jasper Town, and checked into Forest Park Hotel. Let the two-day weekend skiing trip begin! ⛷️ Early on Saturday, we drove straight to Marmot Basin Resort, taking about 25 minutes. We walked through the ground-floor Lodge, parked in P4 parking lot, changed our clothes, and got our gear ready. Then we could directly "Ski in" to the resort. We bought the 2-day Lift Pass in advance at Costco, so no need to exchange tickets—super efficient to start skiing! 🎟️ Marmot Basin is a ski resort in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada, lying in the Canadian Rockies. Location: About 20 minutes' drive from downtown Jasper, in the picturesque Jasper National Park (a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site) 🏞️. Elevation: The ski area ranges from 1698 meters to 2612 meters. Area: Covers about 1700 acres (around 6.9 square kilometers), with vast ski zones and diverse terrains 🌄. Marmot Basin offers over 91 ski trails, suitable for skiers of different levels: Beginners: 30% 👶 Intermediate skiers: 30% 🛷 Advanced and expert skiers: 40% 💪 There are also multiple un-groomed ski areas, perfect for those who love challenges 🏔️. It has 7 modern lifts, including high-speed ones, ensuring visitors can reach the trails quickly ⚡. The snow is dry and fluffy, and the ski season usually lasts from mid-November to early May next year—one of the ski resorts with the longest seasons in Canada ❄️. Ski school: Offers skiing and snowboarding courses for all ages 👨👩👧👦. Rental services: Provides ski equipment and clothing rentals 🎿. Dining: There are restaurants and cafes in the resort, including Eagle Chalet and Caribou Chalet ☕. After two days of skiing, we felt that there were quite a lot of people on Saturday, but it thinned out a lot on Sunday. Compared to other popular ski resorts, Marmot Basin has relatively fewer visitors, so the skiing experience is really good 😊. Although Marmot Basin is mainly famous for winter skiing, in summer, visitors can go hiking, cycling, and watch wildlife in the surrounding Jasper National Park 🚵♂️🦌. If you plan to visit Jasper National Park or experience skiing, Marmot Basin is a must-visit place! #WinterSnowFun #NaturalSnowResort #JasperTravel
