š« SkyTram: Take the SkyTram to the 2277-meter height of Whistler Mountain to enjoy the views of the Athabasca Valley and the 360-degree panorama of the Rocky Mountains. There is also a chance to encounter wild animals such as marmots, pikas, white-tailed ptarmigans, groundhogs, and bighorn sheep. The grasslands are covered with vibrant alpine flowers. It's perfect for viewing in summer and playing with snow in winter. š« Maligne Lake & Spirit Island: The largest natural lake in the Rocky Mountains, surrounded by snow-covered mountains. The 22-kilometer-long lake water flows past Spirit Island (accessible by boat), presenting a picturesque scene. š« Maligne Canyon: It is similar to Banff's Johnston Canyon. You can hike around the canyon to enjoy the views of waterfalls and turbulent rivers, with several bridges spanning the canyon. š« Medicine Lake: The lake is formed by the inflow of water from the Maligne River and alpine snowmelt. In late summer, the leakage rate is higher than the inflow rate. The lake water flows away from the limestone caves at the bottom, passes through the limestone karst cave system, and re-emerges as a water surface 16 kilometers downstream in Maligne Canyon. Indigenous people call it Medicine Lake because it seems to have magical powers. š« Athabasca Falls: Although only over 20 meters high, the water flows rapidly with an enormous volume, making a thunderous sound, which is extremely shocking. The canyon it flows through has been eroded by water over the years, forming unique vertical cliffs. š« Sunwapata Falls: Actually a pair of waterfalls, one high and one low. The water comes from the Athabasca Glacier, and the water volume is larger in summer due to seasonal glacial melting. š« Icefields Parkway: The Icefields Parkway is 230 kilometers long, spanning two national parks, Jasper and Banff. Along the way, there are snow-capped peaks, glaciers, meadows, waterfalls, lakes, etc. š« Columbia Icefield Glacier: The largest remaining icefield in the world outside the Arctic Circle. Due to the extremely high density of the ice layer, sunlight cannot be refracted, making it appear as crystal clear blue light, which is very magnificent under a clear sky. Take the Snow Train to get close to the ancient glaciers. š« Patricia & Pyramid Lakes: In the early morning, there is mist lingering among the mountains, allowing for multi-angle shooting of the reflections of the mountains. Patricia Lake has a circular trail for fishing, swimming, and skiing; Pyramid Lake has Pyramid Island, which can be reached via a bridge, and the Canadian Red Chairs are located here. š« Miette Hot Springs: The hottest hot springs in the Rocky Mountains, with a natural water temperature of up to 54°C, which must be cooled before being poured into the hot spring pools. Surrounded by high mountains and forests, it attracts countless tourists to relax, and is one of the most popular leisure destinations in the park. š« Dark Sky Preserve: The second largest dark sky preserve in the world and the largest accessible one. Every October, Jasper holds the Dark Sky Festival, with experts coming to give lectures, such as NASA astronauts, engineers, pilots, scientists, and educators. There are also concerts under the stars, stargazing activities, and dark sky photography guides. #JasperNationalParkGuide #Canada
