Jerusalem | My Journey
📃 The Talmud says: “Of the world’s ten measures of beauty, nine were given to Jerusalem.” 🌟 I knew I had to visit the 5,000-year-old cradle of the three great faiths—the Old City of Jerusalem. 🔎Jerusalem is the holy city of the world’s three great religions. Here you will see devout Jews weeping in prayer to God at the Western Wall, and you can retrace the Via Dolorosa along which Jesus once carried his cross. At sunset, the ancient city glows in the fading light—truly breathtaking. ✅ Must-sees! ◽️ Western Wall (Wailing Wall) ◽️ Judaism’s holiest site, built entirely of massive stones. For centuries, Jews scattered across the globe have returned to Jerusalem to stand before this wall and pour out their exile’s sorrow—hence “Wailing Wall.” 🔎 Legend says that when Rome burned the city, six angels sat on the wall weeping; their tears sealed the stones, so the wall will never fall. ◽️ Church of the Holy Sepulchre ◽️ At the end of the Via Dolorosa, the final station of Jesus’ Passion. Blood-red stones line the path, and every fresco inside is hand-painted. Though I’m not Christian, I was deeply moved. The church has upper and lower levels; at its heart lies the tomb of Jesus. #Israel #Jerusalem #HolyLand #JerusalemTravel #WesternWall
