JHU Baltimore Food Journey #1 š
As a first-year grad student who just arrived a month ago, I finally found a restaurant that truly satisfies my cravings! š Qin Zhang Ji We originally planned to eat at Hot Pot Hero but faced a 30-minute wait. So we wandered around and stumbled upon this spotāIād seen it recommended online for its hand-grabbed lamb, and we decided to give it a try. š Hand-Grabbed Lamb The lamb ribs were tender and fresh, and the paired lamb broth was incredibly flavorfulājust like what youād find in China! The complimentary garlic paste, chili powder, and pickled radish were high-quality and delicious. The portion was hugeāenough to fill you up in one go! š Braised Pigās Feet I usually avoid pigās feet because theyāre messy to eat, but this version was firm, chilled, and not greasy. It was expertly marinated with no gamey taste (though Iām not very sensitive to that). š² Lamb Paomo My first time trying authentic Lamb Paomo! Tearing the bread by hand was fun but laborious š. The broth felt a bit light for my taste (I prefer stronger flavors), so I added extra vinegar and chili oil. The bread had a great texture, but the lamb and pigās feet overshadowed it slightly. The side dishes were mixed: sweet garlic was delicious, but the potato shreds and cabbage were underwhelming (too oily and bland). š Service Staff were responsive to requests (e.g., bringing vinegar and chili oil). No forced gratuityājust polite service and a complimentary White Rabbit candy at checkout! š¬ Verdict: A solid choice for authentic Chinese flavors near JHU! Definitely worth a visit if youāre craving hearty lamb dishes. #BaltimoreFood #JHUBaltimore #ChineseCuisine #ComfortFood #FoodieFind
