Jinling Soup Dumpling House: A Fresh Favorite in Town!

Finally, a new restaurant that’s almost impossible to criticize! 🎉 I originally planned to visit last Saturday, but they were closed—just a heads-up, their Google Business profile isn’t set up yet. If you need to contact them, you can use the old “Jiangnan” phone number for now. Years ago, a friend introduced me to Pork Skin Noodles in Nanjing, and I’ve been a fan ever since. This was the first time I’d seen this dish abroad, so I had to try it! The broth was delicious—natural and flavorful, without the artificial taste of MSG or that thirsty-after effect. Unfortunately, the noodles were a total letdown—mushy and overcooked. 😫 (Even the noodles at the nearby “Jiaodian” spot didn’t do justice to their broth. Seriously, what’s going on with the noodles around here? 🫠) I shared this feedback with the owner, who acknowledged the issue and said they’re working on improving the noodles. Until then, I’d recommend sticking to their Duck Blood and Vermicelli Soup. 🦆❤️ I also tried the Salted Chicken—a refreshing and clean-tasting dish. As someone who loves chicken, I often use salted duck recipes to make salted chicken at home. They offer salted duck too, which I hear is just as tasty! The Pan-Fried Buns were another solid choice—no complaints there! For a newly opened restaurant, it’s impressive to walk away without any major disappointments. 😊 I returned this week to try the Old Duck Vermicelli Soup. The broth was rich and savory, and the sweet potato noodles had a nice chewiness. The toppings included tofu puffs, tiny duck gizzards, liver, shredded intestines, and duck blood (though the blood wasn’t the tenderest). Unless you’re a die-hard fan of this dish, it might not be worth a special trip. The Dry Pot Cauliflower was coated in a thin layer of flour before being fried and stir-fried. While the spicy and numbing seasoning was on point, I personally prefer it without the flour coating. 🌶️ As for the Pork and Crab Soup Dumplings, they were decent! The wrappers were thin yet sturdy (way better than “Old Taste” in Baijia), and each dumpling held its soup without breaking. 🥟💦 According to the staff, they’re currently in their soft opening phase. More menu options will be added once they officially launch! Here’s to hoping Atlanta continues to welcome more new restaurants—evolving from quantity to quality, with more spots that truly delight without any major letdowns! ✨ #FoodDiary #DuluthEats #AtlantaFood #AtlantaEats #AtlantaExploration #JinlingDumplings #LifeInAtlanta #Duluth #AtlantaNeighborhoods
