4 Days & 3 Nights Practical Itinerary Share 📝 🗺️ Itinerary Overview: 👉 D1: Arrival & check-in → Kant Island (including Fish Village & Kant’s Tomb) 📍 Oktyabrskaya Street, 2/3 – Iconic water tower near the bridge, bronze dwarf statue on the bridge. 🥨 Must-try pretzel bakery: Лев Бородинский (always crowded, but the one in Svetlogorsk tastes even better!) 👉 D2: Svetlogorsk (Snail Town) 🚡 & Warship Museum 🚢 🚞 Take train to Светлогорск-2 (terminal station). Cable car is behind the station – 70 RUB/one way. 📍 Kaliningrad Region, Svetlogorsk, kanatnaya doroga Svetlogorsk Return to the city around 3-4 PM for the World Ocean Museum (open Wed-Sun 10:00-19:00, closed Mon-Tue). You can also walk around the ships outside without a ticket. 📍 Petra Velikogo Embankment, 1, 236006 👉 D3: Zelenogradsk (Cat Town) – Get off at Zelenogradsk-Новый station 🚉 Attractions: Seaside, Ferris wheel 🎡, Water Tower Cat Museum (350 RUB – full of cat-themed crafts 🐈, climb to the top for a panoramic view of the town and offshore oil fields). 📍 Zelenogradsk, Vokzalnaya ulitsa, 1 👉 D4: Amber Museum 🟠 & city stroll Amber jewelry like bracelets and pendants are popular (reasonably priced). 📍 Marshala Vasilevskogo Square, 1, 236016 📓 Travel Details: 👨🏼‍🏫 Philosopher Kant never left Königsberg, never married, and devoted his life to teaching and writing. One of his famous quotes: “Freedom is not the right to do as you please, but the ability to not do what your conscience rejects.” 🐌 Svetlogorsk (Snail Town) isn’t really related to snails – there’s only one snail statue in the park. You can also find a bronze hedgehog 🦔 (location marked on Yandex Maps). ‼️ Cable car operates Wed-Sun 10:00-18:00. Closed Mon-Tue. Check in advance! 🐈 Cat Town really has cats – everywhere! Lots of souvenir shops to explore. 🎼 Organ concerts are held on Kant Island (check schedule online). 🎫 Adult 700 RUB, Student 300 RUB. 🌊 Both Cat Town and Snail Town are by the sea. You can swim if it’s warm, but waves are stronger in Cat Town. Snail Town is more relaxing. 🚞 Transport: To Cat Town or Snail Town, take the local train from North or South Station.
