πΈ Kansai, Japan | Ultimate Guide
π I've been to Japan multiple times over the past 5β£ years, and I can't get enough of it. The National Day holiday is just around the corner, so I've put together this comprehensive 4β£ days and 3β£ nights guide to Kansai π. Mark it down and get ready to have a blast! π Generally, when visiting Japan, the Kansai region (including Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, and more) is the main attraction. β Transportation: Kansai Airport to Kyoto π Hop on the adorable HelloKitty (JR) train without seat reservations. π΄ For 2 people, it's 6220 yen (about 282 RMB). β³ The journey takes 1 hour and 40 minutes. β Accommodation: Opt for a guesthouse near Kiyomizu Gojo. This area is well-located, affordable, and the guesthouses come with cooking facilities. It's just over 300 RMB per room. Right outside your door, you'll find a subway station, making it convenient to get around. β Itinerary D1: Cycling along the Otagawa River π΄π»ββοΈ You can rent bikes for a half-day or full-day. πΊ Follow the cycling paths along both sides of the Otagawa River. There's even aζε‘ spot from "Detective Conan." D2: Morning in Uji β Afternoon in Nara π¦ Uji is famous for its matcha desserts π§. In the afternoon, visit Nara to see the deer and climb Mount Wakakusa β°οΈ. Admission to Mount Wakakusa β°οΈ is required. π« Adults: 150 yen, Children: 80 yen β° 9:00 - 17:00 On a clear day, you can witness a spectacular sunset π. D3: Kifune Shrine β©οΈ Board at Demachiyanagi Station and take the Eizan Railway heading towards Kurama. The ride from Demachiyanagi to Kifune-guchi takes about 35 minutes and costs 470 yen per person. This railway line feels like a path to a fairy tale world, and it's beautifully lit up at night. Don't miss the opportunity to taste the local riverbed cuisine. D4: Amanohashidate β Iga Yunoshima π’ Take the cable car π‘ up the mountain at Amanohashidate Park to enjoy the stunning views of the bay, then take a bus to Iga Yunoshima for a boat tour and feed the seagulls. π« Adults: 1200 yen, Children: 600 yen Departure times: Every hour on the hour and half-hour (each trip is approximately 25 minutes). βΌοΈ Here are some of my tips for traveling abroad: 1β£ Purchase a Japanese SIM card in advance βοΈ. I prefer one with calling and data capabilities. 2β£ Prepare some cash beforehand, as some izakayas or train tickets require cash payments. 3β£ Alipay: Before your trip, search for "Hui Chujing" on Alipay and spend π°8.8 to get a Global Travel Card, which includes overseas payment red packets, global travel discounts, and more. Choose your interests to unlock local experiences. Once in Osaka, locate your current position and enter "Hui Chujing" at the bottom. It covers all services for travel, shopping π, dining, and entertainment. There are also many merchant discounts like Lawson π΅60-5, restaurant reservations, bus reservations, and even shared bike services, all available through Alipay! #AlipayTravel #AlipayExchangeRate #AlipayHuiChujing #TravelWithAlipay #ExchangeRate #NationalDaySpendingGuide #TravelAlternatives #KyotoTravel #OsakaTransportation #KyotoCityWalk #JapanTravel #TravelFestival
