Kansas City Trip Part 2: Food Edition 🍖
Since I only had one day in Kansas City, I didn’t get to try too many foods, but these two spots came highly recommended by many users — and they did not disappoint! 😋 🍖 Q39 – A meat lover’s paradise! The portions are huge — honestly way more than one person can finish. The half rack of ribs plus veggies was more than enough for me. The flavor was amazing — well-seasoned but not overly sauced (which I prefer). They serve extra sauce on the side, so you can adjust to your taste. The onion straws are a must-try — not onion rings, but thin, crispy fried onion shreds 🧅✨. This place is clearly popular locally — it was busy, but the space is large and they have their own parking lot. Fun fact: They have two locations — one in Kansas and one in Missouri! They’re not far apart, which I found pretty interesting 😄. Prices are reasonable, and they also serve burgers and fries. I focused on the BBQ though — the ribs and beef were both delicious. 🍜 Jumbo Noodle Bar – Now I get why it’s called “Jumbo”! You can enjoy both Japanese ramen and Chinese hot pot here 🍲. Perfect for a hot comforting meal after a long day. They have a self-service seasoning station where you can mix your own dipping sauce — a nice touch! Prices are very affordable: hot pots range from $15–18 depending on the flavor, and ramen bowls are around $13. The hot pot portions are generous and can be paired with rice or noodles. Noodle lovers can ask to have noodles cooked right in the broth — highly recommend! That’s a wrap on my Kansas City food journey! Had a great time, ate well… though the wind was crazy 😂🌬️ #KansasTravel#KansasCityFood#Q39BBQ
