Kansas City Trip Part 2: Food Edition đđ
Since I only had one day in Kansas City, I didnât get to try too many foods, but these two spots came highly recommended by countless Xiaohongshu usersâand they did not disappoint! đ đ Q39 â A meat loverâs paradise! The portions here are HUGEâlike, definitely-canât-finish huge đ. The half rack of ribs I ordered was more than enough with a side of veggies. The flavor was amazingâwell-seasoned but not overly sauced, which I personally prefer. The sauce is served on the side, so you can control how much you want. Their onion straws (yes, theyâre called âstraws,â not rings!) are a must-tryâsuper crispy and delicious. The restaurant is clearly popular locallyâit was packed, but the space is big and they even have their own parking lot. Fun fact: They have two locations âone in Kansas and one in Missouri! Theyâre not far from each other, which is pretty interesting. Prices are reasonable, and they also serve burgers and fries. This time, I focused on the BBQ, and both the ribs and beef were excellent. đ Jumbo Noodles Bar â Now I get why itâs called âJumboâ! This place offers both Japanese ramen and Chinese hot pot-style dishesâperfect for a hot comforting meal after a long day of travel. They have a self-service seasoning station where you can mix your own dipping sauce based on your taste. Prices are very affordable: the hot pot dishes are large and cost between $15â18 depending on the flavor, and a bowl of ramen is around $13. The taste is solid đ. If you order the hot pot, you can choose between rice or noodles. Noodle lovers can ask to have noodles cooked right in the potâitâs really good! That wraps up my Kansas City series! Had a great time, ate well⌠though the wind was crazy strong đđŹď¸. #KansasCityTravel #KansasCityFood #Q39 #JumboNoodles #FoodReview #BBQ #Ramen #Hotpot
