Finally, a chic and contemporary Chinese restaurant right in Downtown LA! Kar Son brings modern Chinese design, atmospheric lighting, and a sophisticated vibe—far from the casual feel of traditional Chinatown spots. Perfect for dates, friend gatherings, or even large tables for group celebrations. The restaurant is currently in soft opening, so a few dishes were unavailable when we visited. The flavors lean bold and salty—likely tailored to American palates—but the creativity and setting make it worth a visit. 🍫 Chocolate Xiao Long Bao – Surprisingly addictive! Sweet, rich chocolate wrapped in chewy, delicate dough. Couldn’t stop at just one. 🥟❤️ The space is stylish, moody, and full of character. Even though some dishes were on the saltier side, the overall experience—especially the aesthetic and unique menu—convinced me to return.
