Located next to Nara Park, Kasuga Grand Shrine is the headquarters of all Kasuga Shrines across Japan. πΈπΊπΏπ Along with Ise Grand Shrine and Itsukushima Shrine, it is known as one of the three great shrines of Japan. Kasuga Mountain, as the sacred mountain of Kasuga Grand Shrine, has been protected from logging for a thousand years, πΈπΊπΏπ thus preserving its original forest dominated by oak and beech trees.
