Katie’s Seafood in Galveston 🐟🚫
Touted as the only restaurant in Galveston with its own fishing boat 🎣, Katie’s Seafood House promised fresh, high-quality seafood… but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. 😔 We decided to avoid fried seafood since we were by the coast and opted for the grilled fish instead — a choice we thought would guarantee freshness and flavor. However, the "Chef’s Recommendation" priced at $45 was surprisingly disappointing. For that price, we expected more than just a filet — perhaps a whole fish or at least a more thoughtfully composed dish. To make matters worse, the fish didn’t even taste as fresh as we had hoped. 😐 The sides didn’t help either: The gumbo was underwhelming — lacking depth and spice 🍲 The ceviche tasted unbalanced and was barely finished 🥗 For a place with its own boat and direct access to the sea, the quality simply didn’t meet expectations. The high prices, combined with mediocre food and execution, make it hard to recommend. 💸 You’re better off exploring other seafood spots in Galveston that offer better value and flavor. 🦞🚀 📍 Address: 2000 Wharf Rd, Galveston, TX 77550 #GalvestonEats #SeafoodReview #TexasCoast #FoodieFail #OverpricedFood #GalvestonTX #TravelTips #HonestReview
