Kitano Tenmangu Shrine 🍃

During the Momoyama period, 🌸🌺🌿 Toyotomi Hideyoshi constructed an earthen rampart "Otsuki" as a boundary and for water defense between the regions of Rakuchu and Rakugai. A portion of this rampart still exists today on the western side of the shrine grounds. 🏰🌳 🌸🌺🌿 ⛲️ There are approximately 350 maple trees here, including a forked maple tree that is over 400 years old.
