Kochi Maru Reopened โ Tried Their Crab Pot! ๐ฆโจ
A while ago, I was craving sweet and sour pork, only to find this gem of a Northeastern Chinese BBQ spot temporarily closed ๐ข. Today, I discovered theyโve reopened โ so I rushed right over! The sweet and sour pork and grilled skewers were just as good as I remembered โ we polished them off in minutes ๐๐ฅ. This time, theyโve also added spicy malatang and a signature crab pot to the menu. We ordered the crab pot based on rave reviews, and it did not disappoint! Both crab shells were packed with roe, and the crab itself tasted fresh and sweet. The duck feet and chicken claws simmered in the broth were fall-off-the-bone tender ๐๐ซ. We also tried the cold dressed chicken skeleton โ the sauce was absolutely incredible! A perfect balance of sweet and spicy, it kept us going back for more ๐๐ถ๏ธ. Itโs funny โ as Chinese people, we really make the most of every part of the chicken: feet, neck, even the bones. It feels like a creative, delicious legacy from times when meat was scarce, turning simple ingredients into beloved dishes ๐ฉโ๐ณโค๏ธ. After dinner, we swung by the newly opened Molly Tea nearby, hearing they had a buy-one-get-one deal. But the line was at least 30+ minutes longโฆ so we made a quick escape! ๐โโ๏ธ๐จ #CrabPot #FoodieJoy #NortheasternChineseCuisine #AtlantaEats #HiddenGem #BBQSkewers #SweetAndSourPork #ComfortFood #ChineseFoodLover #MustTryAtlanta #ReopeningGoodness
