Korean food restruant recommendations in LA
📍 Feng Mao BBQ Lamb Kebab Western 👍 A skewered barbecue restaurant I frequented during my college years, where you grill the meat yourself for an even more flavorful experience. The quality and taste of the meat are exceptional. I recommend the meat tendons, spicy beef, and board tendons; the board tendons are much thicker than those found domestically, soft and easy to chew. Both the dry dip and the board tendon sauce are good options. The warm noodles, cold noodles, and mixed cauliflower are all delicious! The warm noodles are like a hybrid of seafood noodles and Shin Ramyun, with thin, chewy noodles. 📍 Han Bat Shul Lung Tang A small shop specializing in beef bone soup, with lines starting at 11 AM. The soup is $14.16 a bowl and becomes more concentrated the further you get to the bottom. I chose the Mixed option, which comes with 1-2 slices of each type of meat and a few vermicelli noodles, it's just average. 📍 Ahgassi Gopchang ❌ Yang Daechang Combo: Mountain Tripe (stomach lining) + Large Intestine (colon) + Abomasum (rumen) + soup + egg custard I wanted to try grilled beef intestines, which I've never had before. The rumen had a suitable fat content and was chewable, but the amount of colon was quite small, and the stomach lining was completely chewy and not to my liking. I think I'm better suited to eating grilled meat. #Han Bat Shul Lung Tang#Ahgassi Gopchang #Feng Mao BBQ Lamb Kebab Western #Korean food#Los Angeles #food diary
