Koryouri Urara – Japanese Cuisine in Georgetown 🍱
Finally getting around to posting this from last month’s visit! 😅 The food wasn’t bad, but not really worth a detailed review either. Simply put: if this place were in Xintiandi (Shanghai), you could get full for around ¥400 per person—but you probably wouldn’t be eager to return. 😐 🦆 Duck: Had a bit of a gamy taste. 🌊 Sea Urchin: A bit watery. 🥦 Vegetable Curry Rice: Quite… abstract. 🧐 🍵 Soup & Chawanmushi: Pretty good—but the steamed egg custard wasn’t as delicious as the one at Blue Ocean. If you’re in DC and craving somewhat ceremonial Japanese food in a sushi-barren area, it’s an option. But for better value, Izakaya Seki is still the move. 💡 Have you been to Koryouri Urara?
