Kyoto | Toyokuni Shrine & Kiyomizu-dera Day 1 ππ’
Just about 100 meters from Sanjusangendo is Toyokuni Shrine, dedicated to Toyotomi Hideyoshi. ππΊ Interestingly, the statue of Hideyoshi here is wearing an official hat gifted by the Ming Dynasty! π It's said that the ceremonial attire of the Japanese King Hideyoshi, similar to the rare Ming Dynasty Hanfu preserved by the Confucius family, is one of the few remaining. I wonder when it will be on display? πΏ ππΏ Before dusk, I finally arrived at Kiyomizu-dera, the last stop of the day. Although it was crowded, the larger space of the temple made it feel less cramped. ππΈ Unfortunately, I missed the autumn foliage season, and the bare branches blended with the thatched roof of the main hall, creating a grayish scene. πΈπ ππΏ After touring Kiyomizu-dera, night had fallen, and the shops on Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka had closed. I didn't get enough of Kyoto during the autumn leaves season, so I'll be back! Wait for me! πΊπ ππΊ #TempleTravel #KyotoTravel #KiyomizuDera #ToyokuniShrineβ©οΈ ππ’
