Kyoto π The Only Shrine in Japan for Hair Protection: Mikage Shrine
The shrine is tiny and a bit worn, located within the Arashiyama scenic area. Walk through the Arashiyama bamboo forest all the way to Arashiyama Train Station. ππΈ The shrine is right across from the small Arashiyama train station! Just follow the crowd, and you'll get there easily. πΏ Initially, I saw a note saying that the Fukufuku hair charms were sold out, which made me a bit disappointed. I didn't leave right away and took some photos and prayed at the shrine. π ππΈ Then, I overheard a girl speaking Japanese, and the shop assistant went to the back stairs and brought out a white charm. I saw this and asked the shop assistant, who initially shook her head, indicating it wasn't available. I pointed to the girl who had just bought one, and the assistant finally brought one out for me. ππΈ However, when I asked for other colors, she kept shaking her head. πΈ Mikage Shrine blesses you with abundant hair and prevents hair lossβso it's a must-visit!
