🇯🇵 Kyoto, Japan, as an ancient capital, is steeped in history and culture! It's perfect for city walks, and three days are really not enough to explore it all! ❗ Hold on to this "3-Day Kyoto Itinerary"! It's applicable in all seasons! ❗️ But if you have more time, consider staying an extra 1/2 day~ D1: Fushimi Inari Taisha ⛩️ → Sanjusangendo → Kiyomizu-dera 🏮 → Sannenzaka & Ninnenzaka → Yasaka Shrine ⛩️ → Gion & Hanami-koji → Nishiki Market 1️⃣ Morning subway 🚇 to Fushimi Inari Taisha and Sanjusangendo; afternoon sights are all in one area, mostly walkable. 2️⃣ Fushimi Inari Taisha is worth spending more time at, with the Thousand Torii Gates, Fushimi Inari, and the Kaiseki Toad's Luck Café. 3️⃣ Kiyomizu-dera has many kimono shops where you can rent for photoshoots 🎬; every street in Kyoto is worth exploring. D2: Kinkaku-ji → Kamo River → Nijo Castle 🏰 1️⃣ The whole route is about 8 km; morning subway to Kinkaku-ji, a lavish Zen temple reflecting off the lake, about 2 hours to explore. 2️⃣ There are many restaurants along the Kamo River, perfect for lunch! During cherry blossom season 🌸, the riverbanks are incredibly beautiful and a must-visit spot~ 3️⃣ Nijo Castle is one of the World Heritage Sites and Kyoto's top cherry blossom viewing spots, where you can see the "King of Cherry Blossoms," the Yaezakura.
