ππΏTakashi Murakami Solo Exhibition π The solo exhibition of Takashi Murakami was held to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Kyoto City Museum of Art. π The museum showcased over 170 works, allowing visitors to trace the evolution of Murakami's creative journey from his early days to his most recent pieces. ππΏ When we visited around 2 p.m., the crowd was sparse, so we could take our time exploring. π (Exhibition dates: February to September) The Kyoto City Museum of Art was officially renamed the Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art after its renovation in 2020. ππΏ The renovation was led by architect Jun Aoki, who also became the museum's director. π The architectural design clearly distinguishes between the old and new sections of the museum while seamlessly integrating them, creating a truly dramatic experience. ποΈβ¨ #KyotoMuseumOfArt #KyotoTravel ππΏ
