Kyoto National Museum (Main Building) ๐ฟ
๐ธ The main building is a famous red-brick structure in Kyoto, constructed in the mid-Meiji period in the French Renaissance style. The designer, Katayama Tetsukawa, known as one of the "Meiji Big Three Architects" and a "court architect," also designed the Akasaka Palace in Tokyo. ๐ธ๐ This building is listed as an Important Cultural Property of Japan. Standing in front of the fountain at the main entrance and looking at the entire structure, the Rodin's "The Thinker" statue stands at the center, with symmetrical designs on both sides. ๐ธ๐ The museum's triangular pediment features carvings of a man and a woman, said to represent the Buddhist deities of artistic craftsmanshipโShakumi and Vishvakarman. #MuseumWorthVisiting ๐๐
