Kyoto Three-Day, Two-Night Trip 🏞️

#First Stop of the New Year 🌊🎢 It’s neither cherry blossom season nor autumn foliage season. 🌸🍃I just decided to take two days off for my birthday this year and headed to Kyoto. Thanks to COVID-19, there aren’t many tourists around. 🌊🎢 It’s the perfect time to wander leisurely through the ancient city’s streets, alleys, and stone-paved paths. 🌿 I visited the smoke-filled Kiyomizu-dera Temple, strolled down Gion’s Hana no Michi at dusk, gazed at the pale blue sky along the Kamogawa River, and climbed the breathtaking endless torii gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine. 🌸🍃I left some places for my next visit. 🌇 Kyoto’s winter is crisp and clear, but the cold is warmed by delicious food and sake. 🍲 Over these two days, my stomach has been filled with matcha, dango, warabi, tofu, tempura, sashimi, seafood dishes, and authentic Japanese sake. 🌸🍃 It’s truly a case of “eating during the day and gaining weight at night.” I didn’t expect Kyoto to be so delicious! 🍱 My favorite is the variety of tofu dishes. 🏞️ Especially the yuba I had at an izakaya near the hotel one evening—it’s nothing like the tofu I usually eat. It’s dense, rich, smooth, and delicate. 🏞️Haha, it’s hard to describe, but every bite is incredibly moving. Kyoto’s tofu is just amazing! 🍲 Kyoto is a completely different city from Tokyo. It’s a great place to visit when you feel tired. #Kyoto #FushimiInari Shrine 🌟
