LA’s Army Stew That I Keep Coming Back To 😭 Chunju Han-II

It’s been a while since I had budae jjigae, and I was craving it! Came to this well-known spot famous for its authentic Korean army stew — and it truly hit the spot! The flavors are legit, and the Korean ajumma serving us was super warm and friendly. The menu is packed with all the classic Korean dishes you’d expect. A very traditional spot with generous portions and great value for money 💸 🥘 Budae Jjigae (Army Stew) The signature dish lives up to the hype! Loaded with ingredients — spam, rice cakes, tofu, udon, and all kinds of veggies. The broth is rich and savory in that classic Korean way, but not overly heavy. The portion is huge — easily enough for 3–4 people to share! 👥 🥩 Iron Plate Beef Short Ribs The flavor is pretty standard across Korean restaurants, but the quality of the meat really matters here. This time, the beef was grilled perfectly — tender with just the right amount of fat and connective tissue, not too chewy at all. So tasty and perfect with rice! 🍚 🍲 Samgyetang (Ginseng Chicken Soup) Mild and clean-tasting, the broth is really comforting. My friend who loves healthy food was all about it! There’s a bit of rice at the bottom that cooks into a porridge — perfect if you’re in the mood for something light and nourishing. 🍗 🍚 Stone Pot Bibimbap A classic — and honestly, I’ve never met a bibimbap I didn’t like 😂 The rice is fragrant, the bottom gets nice and crispy, and the sauce is flavorful without being too salty. Plenty of veggies mixed in — every bite is satisfying and feels wholesome! 🥢 🦪 Oyster Pancake / Seafood Pancake Their oyster pancake and seafood pancake come highly recommended! Almost every table around us had one ordered. I’ve just had too much seafood pancake lately, so I skipped it this time — but definitely trying it next visit! 📍 3450 W 6th St, Los Angeles, CA 90020 #LAEats #FoodReview #KoreanFood #Bibimbap #StudentFoodie #LAFood #KoreanRestaurant
