LA’s Hidden Gem French Restaurant 🤩

I’ve been wanting to try this place forever—and it turns out Citrin quietly held onto its Michelin star again this year! 🌟 Helmed by Josiah Citrin, the chef behind two-starred Mélisse, Citrin is like its more relaxed “little sister”—casual but still seriously polished. If you’re like me and can’t snag a reservation at Mélisse 😅, Citrin is a fantastic alternative! We went with the four-course tasting menu 🍽️. It might seem light at first glance, but with unlimited bread and a solid dessert, you’ll leave full and happy! 🥖🍨 Flavor-wise, it’s inspired by Southern France—elegant and balanced, not the kind of “one-bite wonder” fine dining. You can really taste the attention to detail! It’s not as visually artsy as somewhere like Somni, but the price tag is much friendlier 😄. The kind of meal that leaves you thinking, “That was worth it—I’d come back!” 🥂 The dining room is dim and intimate, with a mysterious vibe—perfect for dates, birthdays, or treating yourself. Plus, the service is Michelin-star level—so attentive and smooth. ✨ What’s your favorite hidden French restaurant in LA?
