🍧 LA’s New Chinese Dessert Spot — Way Better than Meet Fresh!
We stumbled upon this cute dessert shop in the same plaza as Rong He Chinese Restaurant — and it was such a sweet surprise! 🏮 The place is bright, clean, and super cozy. When we asked, they said they’d just opened a few days ago! Since we were already there… of course we had to try. 😉 And wow — the first bite won us over! ✨ What We Ordered: 🥥 Coconut Milk Taro Ball + Peach Gum + Snow Fungus The coconut milk is rich and creamy — tastes homemade! Loaded with chewy big & small taro balls, large peach gum, and soft snow fungus. Perfectly sweet, and even after taking it home, the texture stayed amazing. Couldn’t stop spooning! 🥄 🍡 Milk & Egg Rice Wine Balls (Warm) So comforting — especially during that time of the month! 🩸❤️ Not too milky or eggy, with a prominent rice wine flavor that reminds me of the one my mom used to make 😭👩🍳 It even has goji berries — like edible self-care! 🥥 Coconut Jelly Dessert Soup Loved the surprise addition of peanuts! 🥜 Mixed with other toppings, it created such a unique fragrance. Similar base to the taro ball bowl but with cool, smooth coconut jelly. Not as intense as MeloMelo’s coconut flavor, but still really nice! 📖 We checked the full menu before leaving — besides desserts and milk tea, they also have chicken feet, takoyaki, sweet potato balls, and more! Definitely coming back next time we’re around. 🪑 Plenty of seating inside too — don’t miss this place if you love traditional Chinese sweets! 🏬 Jiu Ji Dessert 📍 1261 E Valley Blvd, Alhambra, CA 91801 🅿️ Lots of parking in the plaza! **#LADesserts #ChineseSweetSoup #TaroBallLove #LAFoodie #PeachGumDessert
