Today, we accidentally discovered a very authentic Cantonese dessert shop called Jiu Ji Dessert. The interior was clean and bright. With a “let’s give it a try” attitude, we went in and ordered Mango Pomelo Sago, Snow Swallow with Peach Gum and Taro Balls in Coconut Milk, Coconut Jelly Dessert, and Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings.
The Mango Pomelo Sago was refreshing, and the mango was very fresh. The Snow Swallow dessert was also very authentic. The Coconut Jelly Dessert was full of ingredients, but everything was well balanced, and it tasted amazing!
Just as we were about to leave, we overheard that they had a new coconut jelly dessert, so we quickly decided to order one to go. It was wonderfully fragrant and sweet, rich in coconut flavor, and topped with crispy coconut chips and shredded coconut—it was truly delicious!

Definitely did not enjoy that and would appreciate it if they figured out a way to avoid smokers outside the...
Read moreI'm a huge fan of HK desserts, so this place was a must-try. The sweet potato balls were 10/10 (so crispy) and so was the sesame paste pudding (not overly sweet like black sesame tends to be). The red bean black rice soup was so smooth. I loved the French toast cubes, perfectly fried and had like a milk custard on the inside and condensed milk outside. They're a little sweeter than normal French toast but it was just so delicious 🤣 they have a decent sized menu of different desserts and toppings to choose from. Such a great addition...
