LA|Cheap & Delicious! This Izakaya in West Covina is the Real Deal!!
Found out one of my favorite Japanese spots has a branch near my house — immediately made plans with friends! 🦀 King Crab Bites My must-order every time — real crab meat, not imitation! 🍄 King Mushroom Steak First bite blew my mind — so juicy, buttery, and flavorful. Sauce is on point!! Must-try!!! ⚡️ Kani Crab Stick Fried crab stick — crispy, savory, fun snack that doesn’t fill you up. Perfect with chatter. 💥 Shrimp & Veggie Tempura Light, crispy batter — not greasy. Even better with dipping sauce. 🍗 Sesame Chicken Classic Japanese karaage — crispy outside, tender and juicy inside. 🦑 Calamari Rings & Fried Baby Octopus Always order fried squid/octopus — love this stuff! (I even stock Trader Joe’s frozen calamari at home 😂) 🌶️ Sweet Pork Ribs Slightly spicy, sweet & sour — like American-Chinese ribs. Appetizing! 🍔 Hamburg Steak Sweet mushroom-onion sauce with juicy patty and runny egg — tasty “kid-friendly” vibe haha. 🫛 Spicy Garlic Edamame & Garlic Green Bean Those side dishes you always order but can’t fully explain why. 🫑 Shishito Pepper Japanese shishito peppers — mild and fragrant, great with drinks. 🍜 Chicken Cutlet Ramen Even the spiciest level lets the rich, savory broth shine. Noodles were chewy and good. 🍲 Ribeye Sukiyaki Don’t underestimate this little pot — soy-based broth is perfectly balanced. Beef tender, mushrooms and tofu delicious! 🍣 Truffle Hunter Roll & Baja California Roll So many roll options it was hard to choose. Truffle one is aromatic, almost like carpaccio with onion strips. Baja has a spicy Mexican twist — I liked it! #LADining #LAExploration #LALife #LosAngeles #LAEats #LAJapanese #LATravel #WestCovina
