I want to rate 0 star if I could.
The mistreatment, discrimination, and lack of professionalism I encountered today left me feeling disgusted and appalled. my boyfriend and I were patiently waiting in line at the snack bar to order food and drinks. A counter opened on the right side of us, and noticing this, we moved over to that counter. However, we were immediately informed by an Asian lady with a short buzz cut that this would be her last order. We complied and returned to the original lane where we had been waiting.
What happened next was both puzzling and distressing. The same staff member proceeded to waive at three other parties who arrived after us, allowing them to place their orders while ignoring our presence. We observed that this unfair treatment extended to a group behind us and two other groups from the adjacent lane. Initially, we questioned if there was something unique about that particular line, but upon asking the crew member at the snack bar, we were informed that it was not a special line.
Seeking clarification and resolution, we asked for the name of the staff member who discriminated against us. However, the crew member could not provide the name until I insisted. He then consulted with what appeared to be a manager or supervisor named Christian, to whom I explained the incident. Astonishingly, their response was dismissive, suggesting that the staff member might have been going on a break or had to prioritize certain individuals because they had jumped the line. I emphasized that the staff member had waived at those individuals, and yet she refused to take our order. When I requested the name of the staff member once more, it was reluctantly revealed to be Jennifer—an Asian lady with a buzz cut, approximately 5'2" tall. The manager/supervisor, Christian, was described as having long, slightly wavy brown hair, extending just past the shoulders, and standing about 5'5" tall.
The discriminatory treatment we experienced was not only unfair and disrespectful but also deeply damaging to our mental well-being. As lifelong patrons of movie theaters, we have never encountered such blatant discrimination until this incident. It left us feeling sick and unable to enjoy the movie we had...
Read moreJust walked in to buy my ticket for the new Conjuring movie to come out in a few days, as I have the unlimited pass. I walked in with my sweater coffee and water under one arm so I can use my phone to scan my qr code which wasn't working..and the employee walked up to me and asked me to look inside my sweater under my arm even though you could clearly see a water and cup sticking out. I ignored the offensive questioning and asked if I can continue buying my ticket. He said "yes, were just trying to prevent people sneaking snacks in so, if I can show him when I enter" and he walked away. When I saw him again I asked if he could help me to purchase the ticket and he couldn't help me and said I would need to go to the counter, which I didnt do because he was so concerned about me entering to begin with. Not even a greeting or how are you, can I help you...just...can you open your sweater under your arm when I wasn't even trying to go inside.
Focus more on the customer service part of your job so you can help the customer, instead of greeting them with an accusation when they walk in. Don't let the security guard lady tell you what to do, I heard her assumption and she was wrong. You both have mediocre jobs..calm down and dont profile or assume.
Because I am a military veteran and work with local city partners and communities, in addition to working with Regal Edwards Cinemas with their film festivals, you never know who the customer may be and a young kid interacting in that way is wild to experience as someone...
Read moreCheapest movie tickets I have seen so far is at this Regal Edwards; tickets are $6.75 every day until 6PM. Unbelievable how cheap the tickets are compare to the AMC nearby!
I wanted to watch Detective Pikachu on the weekend of release date, and decided to go to a non-AMC location. This location offers assigned seats, which is common in theaters now. The food is pricey like any other movie theaters. I guess the cost of the tickets make up for the expensive price in food. Be wary-- the Regal Edwards are NOT luxury seating meaning no comfortable reclining chairs. They are the old style fashion ones where everyone is squish together. This is the price you pay so it's understandable. During he movie, they even messed up by having the lights turn on 20 minutes before the movie end. We were all like confused.. but like I said this is what you paid for.
Not only is this movie theater cheap, it is the center of an food/fashion hub-- let me correct that, it's near those location. Across the seat from this movie theater, you will see a lined of restaurant. If you go a few streets down, you will land yourself at the West Covina Mall! This is great if you are with friends and are looking for things to do within the vicinity especially for kids and teens that don't drive. This place is easy to walk to and from.
Forgot to mention.. free parking can be found at the parking structure or across the street. This is a plus for me since I hate struggling to...
