LA|Cozy Hidden Izakaya in Arcadia
Craved yakitori for so long! Last time I went to a famous spot in Little Tokyo, waited over an hour… only to get burnt or bland skewers. Total disappointment. This place is tucked inside a plaza, not very noticeable. Different from typical izakayas—bright, clean, and welcoming. Didn’t expect much, but as soon as the beer arrived in a chilled glass, I knew it was going to be good! Feels like the owner either watched "The Way of the Househusband" or just really cares about the dining experience. 🗻 Fujiya Chashu Ramen The chashu is arranged almost like Mount Fuji—such a nice touch! Broth is rich but not overly salty. Each slice of pork is thick, generous, and delicious. 🌋 Volcano Ramen Spice lovers won’t miss a chance for heat! Not too spicy for me—more fragrant and appetizing. (If you find it hot… well, you’ve been warned 😄) You can even choose noodle firmness—another sign they know their stuff. 🍢 Grilled Mix Skewers (Yakitori Platter) Perfect for the indecisive—solves all ordering dilemmas! Strong charcoal aroma, mostly glazed-style (you can request salt-grilled). • Pork belly – Super fragrant, no porky taste. • Chicken wings – Crispy skin, juicy meat. • Also loved the chicken skewers, squid, shishito peppers, sausage. • Chicken hearts were good, maybe a tad dry. 🦑 Fried Calamari Most places give you rings—here it’s all tentacles! So good, who understands? 😍 Crispy, not greasy, oil clearly fresh. 🦀 Fried Soft Shell Crab Two decent-sized soft-shell crabs—crispy and satisfying in every bite. Soft-shell crabs are truly a blessing—no shell-spitting needed! 😂 🫛 Edamame – A must-have drinking snack, as always. 🅿️ Plenty of parking right outside—super convenient. After a busy day, finding a clean little spot for a cold beer, hot ramen, and smoky skewers feels like pure bliss! 🍢 Fujiya Ramen & Yakitori 📍 411 E Huntington Dr #122, Arcadia, CA 91006 #IzakayaVibes #YakitoriLover #LateNightEats #GrilledSkewers #LADining #LALife #LosAngeles
