The popular Tokyo-based Tonkatsu Marushichi just opened in Torrance—and it’s already a phenomenon! They’re famous for extra-thick cutlet sandwiches and donburi, with pork chops up to 3cm thick. 🥪 I went twice—sold out by 12pm the first time! Got there at 11am the second day and still waited behind 30 people. By the time I ordered, they were already sold out again! 🕚⚠️ Tried both: 🍛 Tonkatsu Donburi – Juicy, thick pork cutlet over rice with soft-scrambled egg and savory sauce. Perfectly crispy and tender! 🥪 Katsu Sando – The pork is almost too thick for the bread (in a good way!), but my kid loved it. A limited menu but incredible quality.
